About Catnip Veterinary Care

Dr. Catherine Parks is the owner and solo practitioner of Catnip Veterinary Care -- a 100% mobile service based in Mertztown, PA. She earned her veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania and has been helping people and their pets since 1992. She enjoys hiking and traveling, reading (under a pile of cats), and working outdoors with her pups at her side. She lives on a farm with her husband and children and their pet chickens and turkeys.

Dr. Parks has always been focused on preserving and honoring the bond between pets and their people. Meeting compassionate, devoted pet owners and witnessing the incredible bond they share with their beloved pets is the heartwarming reward of her work. She understands how impactful end-of-life care and decisions around euthanasia can be, and therefore chose to concentrate on this aspect of veterinary medicine. She is an advocate for end-of-life care in the home setting and feels making the final months to minutes of our pets' lives as happy and comfortable as possible is the greatest final gift we can give back to them.
